Well, I'm taking the Greyhound to GA apparently... only $65 from Chicago which is cool... 17 hours +, which is not cool.
Anyway, I was wondering, does anyone know the closest town to Springer that Greyhound goes through, and how to get to Springer from there? I would greatly appreciate it.

It looks like Gainesville, GA is the closest Greyhound stop.

The issue might be whether they get to Gainesville before Atlanta. I know coming from the south, they go to Atlanta first and there is a god-awful 2 hr or more layover. Might be different coming from the north.

Definitely look into using hiker hostel, they are great people.
