If I read many more threads on I-pods, cell phones, MP-3 players, etc, I think I will be reduced to cowering in a corner and pummeling myself with a laptop!

Sooo...to help refresh everyone's memory:

Great pics.

Whats the name of the flower in the 2nd link? The white one with the yellow center. Those were all over the section of the trail we day hiked last week.

Good Question. I didn't quite have the time(post-hike) to look it up in my wildflower book and now I'm working(against my will)300 miles from home.:D Never fear; Someone on WB will supply, I'm sure.

1st flower is skunk cabbage; the second is bloodroot (toxic).

You may be right on the Bloodroot(not 100% sure, yet), but I don't think the other is Skunk Cabbage. ;)

Sorry about that. I just took a glance. Should have looked at it closer.

Forget about it. You made me doubt myself enough that I spent a good fifteen minutes googling what I already knew. :p

What's the difference between purple trillium and prairie trillium? Is one's leaves more pointed? I know they have the same color flower.

Thanks
