I am using a Primus canister stove and wanted to make a windscreen out of aluminum foil but am kind of clueless.

I have read that windscreens shouldn't go around the fuel bottle because of heat but since I use a canister I am concerned about that. Or are any fears unfounded.

thanks

Make a screen that will go 3/4 of the way around the stove, sort of U-shaped looking down at the top, with the open side away from the wind. If you use a full wind screen you risk having the fuel canister overheating and exploding.

Here's the Idea I came up with for cannister stoves, that doesn't heat up the cannister too much.
