I have a bunch of CT info (including a planning guide) at:
http://www.pmags.com/mags_colotrail.htm
If you have more questions, please let me know!
:welcome Martin. WHen it comes to the CT, Mags is Da Man!
I hiked 60 miles of it last year, and plan to do at least 100 this year - if not more. Others on the site (Almanac, Profile, Bookburner, Tha Wookie and more) have hiked the trail too.
All I can say is you're in for a treat. Maybe I'll see you out there.

You have a job(apparently an office job with internet access), a dog, a gym membership, and-You live in a Tipi.
Is this a great country, or what? :D
