Just curious, whats everyones longest time without resupply... without stopping into town or anything of that nature, living solely on whats in your pack.

average seems to be 3-4 days, I generally do 5-7, but for a challenge this year wanted to try and do 14 days without having to go into town

6 days ...with the exception of the 100 mile wilderness.

Back when men were men and hikers were something more, I averaged over 10 days between resupply on the AT. Today's hikers are wimps :D .

10 days was my max, and it was a heavy pack, probably about 55 lbs, 15 or little more of it being food.

I try to keep it more in the 5-7 day range when I can.

7 days through the 100 mile wilderness. The pack was at its heaviest!

..........About the same, I know I did a 14 day one at some point. Water, however (possibly) was sometimes hard to run down during those times. Got it done though.

Six days was my max (before I got into a rhythm), average was about three when possible. Of course you can go further if that is what you want to do. On re-supply days I would go to town, buy stuff and leave within a few hours. I called it a Bob nero. Of course I would eat while in town and on the way out, buy something perishable or a little heavy for that evening. This would make lighter food I carried last longer.
