Thank you all. What I was picturing in my head made sense until I saw what a detailed map looks like. Although I AM going to give us one. I have an idea for a layout for a map that shows most things on the whole trail in detail, and will hopefully weigh little. It will be a completely packable THRU-MAP. This will be a future endeavor, however, as I am leaving in a couple weeks.
Anyway, What do you all think about the A.T. thru-hikers companion, or the A.T. data book as navigation tools, or at least supplementary navigational tools?
