I seen people use the fact they have thru-hiked the AT for a lot of things. But it sounds like this nut tried to use it as his defense. I wish they had given a trailname, bet some of the folks here at WB could give him a good one!

Most likely only 15 years with parole if the terms run concurrent. About the same for many murders. Well deserved in the first, not enough in the second.

"...was sentenced to three life terms to be served consecutively."

This assumes he has at least three lives?

One as a criminal, one as a prisoner, and one as a fish...

"He called me Fish..." (What movie is that from?)

Consecutive terms means he isn't ever going to breathe free air again.

I assume the kidnapping charge bumped this to a federal court - and if so, he will be eligible for parole on the third life sentence once he serves the full first two. Yea - he better get comfy and make frineds with someone who has small hands...:D

Are you saying he'd better not drop the soap??!....... What does his hiking the entire AT have to do with ANYTHING else mentioned in the article? I say his new trail name could be Size 10. Get it? Before prison his _____ :p was a size one, now it will be a size 10.

Wasn't this the guy they were looking for on the AT last summer? Up in the Smokies area?
