While I am section hiking Virginia this summer, my husband will be RVing along the way. Any suggestions for RV parks that allow slideouts? $$ is a concern... He has the senior discount for federal parks, but I didn't see any Corps parks...

When you say RV park, I guess you mean campgrounds too.
When your up around Waynesboro, try Sherando. Just south of Wayesboro, east of Stuarts Draft.
Very nice, built by the CCC.
Wasn't there a discussion about using Wal*Mart parking lots to stay the night in - park way in the back of the lot and pretend to shop some. Could get expensive unless user has good will power.
