View Full Version : completed thru-hikes in 2005: 2.8%
That's 2.8% of all attempted thru-hikers in 2005 having covered all the miles.
The percentage has been reached by cross-referencing multiple sources!
If one loses 10% of body weight during a thru does it only count as 90% of a person?

what was the percentages from past years?
Only 2.8 hikers have ever hiked the entire trail. The last person got 20% eaten by a wolverine just before he reached Katahdin.

...another purist statgasm thread. :banana
wow, pretty cool, you're good, better, best. You're the King, you're faster than squeaky and have more miles than Seiko. You can out drink Baltimore Jack and are more creative than Jester. Unlike Neo, you don't even need trees to hang your hammock. You can beat up Chuck Norris. In your steps, the AT follows you. No one should ever attempt to hike again, because you have done it to perfection.
LOOK UPON MY WORKS YE MIGHTY AND DEPAIR!!!
does that make you feel better?
Maybe Lobster can volunteer his time to the ATC and verify each and every 2000-miler certificate request.
