After getting whacked with very expensive 411 calls for years, I just discoverd 1-800-411-metro.

Basically, you dial an 800 number and listen to a very short ad, and a live operator gives you the number you are looking for. But it gets better. If you are asking for a business listing, they will connect your call for you.

I'm still thinking that there must be a catch, but I can't find one. Why even use a calling card? So long as you are calling your friends at work, anyway.

Sounds good, I guess if who you are calling is a business, then you might need one to speak to a residence.

I found out about 1800.fre.e411 from Lil Easy Pacino this year on the trail, I've used it alot, nice!

There are a lot of phones that won't allow calls to toll free numbers. I found a bunch of them in NC recently.

How about listening to commercials on the trail?:-?
