The Comet is on sale for $100 (normally $170). The aluminum stays are an extra $10. I am tempted to get one for my 13 year old son. He is currently outgrowing a youth pack, and will need a larger pack for longer trips (Philmont, hopefully). I am currently using (and satisfied with) a GoLite Gust. The Comet appears to have a more comfortable hip belt, and is rated for little heavier load (if needed).
I have searched past forums and read helpful comments. Anyone with new and current opinions?
