I agree. I don't care what it's name is, just that more land was protected as parkland. Cool.

Now if we can only save the last remaining 400-500 acres in Sterling Forest!

Hmmmm... perhaps we could get other billionaires interested in such gifts. I couldn't care less what the wildness I'm frolicking thru is called as long as there is wildness to frolick in.

Well if the park is to be named for him it shall need government bail-outs and a filing for bankruptcy protection to stay open :p

Of course the park will be only a user version. The real park with upgrades will cost everyone lots of money.

HAHAHA - now that's funny!

But then Apple will have to sponsor all the easy blue-blazed trails...

I have no problem with people giving the state land for parks, not even famous, rich people. After all, that's how we got Harriman State Park, which the AT goes right through.

And like MOWGLI16 said, if we could only get rid of the developers from Sterling Forest.

The Linux version will no doubt require you to have your own pulaskis, mcclouds and axes to construct your own trails....

Right. Generally, poor, obscure people aren't in a position to donate land. Much of our public land was donated by private owners. The Cape Hatteras National Seashore, my favorite non-mountain place in the U.S.A., was largely acquired with money donated by the Mellons.

I say put a statue of The DonaldŽ on the land he's donating. Just touch up his hair a little.
