Hey fellow Hikers!

I am driving from NYC up to a BBQ in Southern NH. (Kingston to be exact) The party is on a Saturday but since I have off from work that Friday :banana ... I thought this would be a great opportunity for some solo camping/hiking.

Just to make things simple I've been leaning toward staying at a campground and doing a day hike or two.

I can stay in NY, VT, MA, or NH. Any favorite campground ya'll might recommend?
Thanks!

Silverlake State Campground in Barnard, VT is real nice...But it may be a bit to far north for you. It has some nice hiking trails a short drive from the campgrounds.

Try Pawtuckaway State Park in Raymond, NH or Bear Brook State Park in Auburn/Deerfield, NH. Both tend to busy and noisy, but there are some decent day hikes to be had.
