A surgeon passes Gore-Tex fibers through two incisions in the creases between the nostrils and lips, then threads them through fat tissue to another insision above each ear. There, the sutures are attached to a Gore-Tex anchor patch. It costs about $4000 dollars. So if any of you want to take your thruhiking money and turn yourself into Michael Jackson, now you can. Plus your face will be waterproof and breathable, oh wait it, already is.
This will soon be more in style in the AMC huts than Northface jackets.
