Well he won't be the first person to do it barefoot. The barefoot sisters did it a few years ago. Maybe barefoot and 16 mpday part, I don't know what the sisters averaged. Good cause though.

Nobody has done it totally barefoot.

The Barefoot girls were pretty amazing. When they got to Katahdin, i believe they yo-yo'd thru the winter. (they wore shoes the 2nd time)
I didn't know that they didn't hike the whole trail barefoot although they told me that they did carry some kind of shoes because many stores would not let them inside while barefoot.
