sams gap to davenport gap

A few of us are going to do a section in a couple of weeks.Is it a better hike from sams gap to davenport gap, or from davenport to sams gap, or do a flip flop of some sort out of hot springs? or does it even matter. we will be walking either way right?

The hike out of Sam's Gap is lot easier than the big climb out of Davenport. I recommend starting at Sam's.

The climb from I-40 just after Davenport Gap up Snowbird Mtn. is a killer.

Those are both good directions to hike. The walk up Snowbird Mtn is long, but not a horribly steep climb. At either end you will find good resources for hostel and resupply.
