Hey there,

I was looking for any information on the eagle nest outfitters DryFly tarp. I've been unable to find any reviews or opinions on it and was hoping someone here might have some experience or thoughts.

I was trying to figure out a way to search the forums and archives, but had no luck. So if there is already a topic like this, just point me in the right direction.

Thanks

I've got one, but haven't rain tested it yet... wondering the same thing???
Looks goo, hangs good but seems to be about a foot too small... maybe it's me.

that is what i was thinking that it looked short, and that if the rain blew from the side it looked like you would still get wet. and it seemed heavy. i have been looking at getting a sil tarp that weighs 8 ounces and is 10x10.

I have been using an 8 x 10 sil tarp (campmor-13oz.) with my ENO. The ENO tarp (22oz.) looked to be on the small side and I use the sil tarp with my other hammocks also. Love their bug net, works great with a variety of hammocks.

I have been using an ENO DoubleNest, Slap Strap Pro, Guardian Bugnet but didn't go with an ENO tarp...I've been using a 10x12 sil nylon made by Equinox.... I have no experience with their tarp but if it is anything like their other products it will more than likely be a great piece of gear.
I had been switching between my ENO and a Byer for a while this year and lately have been favoring the ENO...

Did you drop a one ? ....Most 10x10 Silnyl tarps weigh more like 18 oz....

I have one of the new designs that have been made longer... it works great and recently I have been using the Fast FLy by ENO and it is much simpler to hang given the 2 points instead of 6 i believe there hammocks offer the most comfort as well. I also heard they are coming out with an under quilt

In my opinion, yes...the time i got stuck in a storm the way the tarp is cut i had water coming from all sides. i am a short person and the tarp was hung low. the lengh is fine is the rest that i think is not. besides, weighing over a pound is too much . 8x10 sil i have plenty of room to cook, change during a storm.
