I just came back from there where I met up with Cookerhiker for some Indian Food and some chat. Good times.

The Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail (C&O Canal) is accessible from the Roslyn Metro Station if you want to do some hiking. http://www.nps.gov/pohe/

Have a good time!

What sort of things are you interested in???...It`s just a short drive up to the AT or a bunch of historical sites near the mountains..Casino`s in Charlestown,WV plus you pass the trail and mountains...Lots of stuff IN DC but that weekend it`ll be a toursit trap

I'm up for just about anything, my sister lives in close to D.C. and I'm sure I gonna get the ooorah tour of the city, but I was looking for a local to show me the sites and I'm up for a hike or backpack trip, I just cant be gone to long, I'd be up for a 2 day hike or nite maybe a 15-20 mile or shorter, I dont know the area all that great just what I've ready on this site, so u'll need to let me know what to bring, maybe we can hook up, most of my packing I do solo, but once a year I head to North West corner of Colorado and go nuts, I am planning an extra trip this year to aspen thats in Aug. I dont mind packing with other people either the more the marrier. wymore
