My check list is almost done...
My bright orange Home Depot bounce bucket has been
mailed out to E. Glacier (Thanks to Suge for that
tip!)...
My desk is cleaned out...
And I bought my DEET...

Tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of full Internet access (and
my last day of work - no coincidence!).

On Wednesday, June 28th I board the Greyhound Bus and
plan on starting July 2nd from the Canadian Border in
Glacier. About 4 mos later, and if all goes well,
will be on the Mexican border at Antelope Wells.

As always, thanks all for the support, the advice, the
good wishes and such over the years. I plan on posting
every once-in-a-great while. I've enjoyed being immersed in the AT community here on WB. I know I've contributed to my share of flames at time (doh!), but know I'd enjoy having beer with anyone on this board. I also know I've enjoyed many of the discussions, too! (I am doing a marinararthon as I type. No lie! :D It is simmering and will take more than 40 minutes I'm afraid. )

I have gone off to the technological dark side a wee
bit and using a Pocketmail to keep up my journal.
Unlike past journals, will only be doing my updates
weekly or so. (This Pocketmail is "famous" of course.
Read my journal for more details!)

Will also be doing updates for a local newspaper.
(Hence the pocketmail)
You can read my bi-weekly articles at:
http://www.dailycamera.com/ (http://www.dailycamera.com/)
Look in the recreation section.

Registration is required unfortunantely. :(

If you want to read the articles, the publishing dates
are:

Friday, July 14.
Friday, July 28.
Friday, Aug. 11.
Friday, Aug. 25.
Friday, Sept. 8.
Friday, Sept. 22.
Friday, Oct. 6.
Friday, Oct. 20.

There will be a post-trail aricle as well. A pre-trail
article will be out next Friday (June 30th).

My CDT website is:
www.pmags.com/mags_cdt.htm (http://www.pmags.com/mags_cdt.htm)

There you can find out how to mail goodies and contact
me (the CONTACT ME e-mail is getting forwarded to
pocketmail).

I'll try to post photos as well, but no promises (my
buddy is going to be a daddy in a little over a
month..and suspect he will be a bit busy! :D )

See some of you in the future at trail gatherings, on
the trail and other places. This trail has been ten
years in the making for me. Every since I took my
first backpacking trip and dreamed of seeing what is
around the the next bend of the trail . Started with white blazes on the
AT...coninued with a dirt (and snow path!) on the PCT and the journey still continues with a compass bearing on the CDT. :)

Happy Trails!
