See? Even bears are smarter than you tenters...

This was on here somewhere else recently and I think it included a short film clip.

I don't mind my friends checking out the hammock....it's a common cause of conversion from tents...but a bear I feel is less likely to go get their own hammock and might put up a bit more resistance when I ask it to get out.

Hey, maybe I could get me a pet bear and teach him to hammock camp with me. That would guarantee me a private campsite. I think I have an extra hammock somewhere...

That's all a hammock is anyway, a bear pinata.

:jump Now that's funny. All I can imagine is a bear whacking a HH and neo inside screaming. I'm still freaking laughing at that mental picture. :D

This is the only pic I found. I read this story in the paper the day it happened. They had a couple of great pics but cant find them.

If anyone finds some, post em up.

I wonder how long total the bear was in the hammock.

Go to google and type "bear hammock" without the quotes - it's the first link that comes up....says "grouper video" or something like that.

Amigi,

If you are a donating member, there should be an edit button on all your posts that only you can see.

To donate:

If the edit button is not there and you donated, let ATTroll know and he can probably fix it. :)

That is one tough hammock. That bear has got to be 400-500 lbs.

Ever pet a bear? I have at Gatorland and they are deceiving heavy. They are solid bone, muscle, and fat. 500 lbs. is a little too much, but 120lbs? If that thing is less than 300 lbs., I would be shocked.
