View Full Version : know of land for sale near the AT??
I am selling some property soon and as such will have some funds to purchase a replacement property. We'd like to find something near the trail in the SE...preferably GA or NC (NC being the most preferred), though TN or south VA could work too.
Do you know of any land and/or nice cabins for sale near the trail? Ideally would love to be near lake and trail...such as near the NOC with the gorge and then Nantahala Lake just down the road, or Hiawassee, etc. etc.
P.S. I don't check the forums every day so if you know of something that might be of interest feel free to send me a private message so i don't miss it!
Not exactly greatly near but I know you can buy a house in Narrows Va for less than $80k. I sold one for that.
check the ATC's site. they used to have a land conservation link. it's land that is available in several states near the AT

There are several places around here. We are 1.5 miles from trail in Hiawassee. Just drive up here one day and take a look around. Most "cabins" up here are going for 150 up, with most very close to us just under 200. We are about 2200 ft. Very few are FSBO.
