Found this site a few days ago and have been lurking. Great looking site with a ton of info!
Name's Joe (Lil'Joe) and I'm from North Georgia, although I reside just north of Atlanta now.

I learned everything I needed to know about backpacking on this site. You've found the right place. Welcome aboard.
Wow......you guys are fast! Other boards I'm involved in (fly fishing BBs) usually take a few hours for a response!
That's how I really got interested in backpacking, thru back country fly fishing. I'm to the point now (dare I say this!) to leave the rod behind and do some distance hiking!
Always wanted to do a thru hike, and maybe I will one day. Who knows:banana
