You're not putting ice cubes in it are you?
Are you burping it?
Ditch it and get a bottle.

It shouldn't leak under pressure. Possible that cap isn't on tight enough or could just be defective. You may need to exchange it.
Is it for sure leaking or are you putting in really cold water and its "sweating?"

Good bladders dont leak under pack pressure. I've laid mine horizonally on top of my pack with no issues. Find out if where its leaking, check it out, and maybe exchange it.
My 1.5L Platypus don't leak, Its in the net pocket on the front of my pack, with my tarp SECURELY cinched on top of it.
Sounds like you may have a defective bladder.
Doctari.
I always kept mine in one mesh side pocket and my tent in the other. It never leaked but quite often had condensate, especially when filled from cold springs.

I used a MSR Dromodary bag as a pillow (with water in it) for an entire thru-hike. Shouldn't leak.

there's a pill for that, isn't there? :D

Flowmax
Is the bladder itself leaking, or do you mean water leaks out of the bite valve? If it's the valve, you can get ones with a handy shutoff thingy.
Otherwise, with most packs it's pretty easy to use the yards of webbing and daisy chains sewed all over the thing to cinch on a bladder in some way, or strap it under your top pocket.
Bladder is cheap. No condensation, it leaks. I could go out and get a new one but why. The one I have works, I just can't squeeze the damm thing. As I go I upgrade so maybe in the future I will see a new one.

Um, so your stuff doesn't get wet?
Not yet. I stopped carrying it when I found it leaks but now its sitting there not being used and I like having the convenience of a tube.
Consider making a pouch and carring it in front hanging on the shoulder straps. You may find that you will be able to loosen the straps and walk more upright. I would not suggest it with a heavy pack, like 40#, as it might take weight off your hips and onto your shoulders and spine, but for 20# it can really make a difference.
