Doing a Northbound hike, what is the name of the road of the 2000 mile mark? And how is it marked?

Brian- winner gets a cookie...not that anyone in their right mind should know this

East Flagstaff Road is at mile 2001.5.

Little Bigelow Lean-To is at mile 2000.1 if you are looking for a 2,000 mile reference point.

My vote is for Long Falls Dam Road is where 2000 miles is painted on the pavement. I'm sure it's no longer at the 2000 mile mark, but it sure is a milestone for thru-hikers.

Long Falls Dam Road is access to the end of Flagstaff Lake.

Because of relos Long Falls Dam Road is now at mile 2003.9 (although it is probably the answer brian was looking for since he referenced the "marking" of the road).

Those of you with the 2003 Data Book can't look up the answer there...there was a relo that was completed too late to be included in the Data Book.

Long Falls Dam Road in Maine. Marked with yellow road paint is

" 2000 mi.".

If I win do have to take the cookie?

In 1994-1995 there was a sign on a tree in the Wilderness that said "Welcome to page One"...has anyone else seen it and is it still there. Referring to the Data Book of course.

No it's not exactly at 2000 miles, but it's still the right answer!
