Yeah. This was posted about 6 or 8 months ago.

When you try to order you get this:

This is just wrong. Eeewww! At least if you leave your hiking stick out there, it will biodegrade.

And to think I was so proud of finally deciding on and purchasing a 2 lb sleeping bag yesterday when instead I could have spent the same money on much better gear, taken a bite each night and ended at the top of K with a 0 lb bag. What a waste of my money! If only you'd posted this information earlier!

LOL, I hadnt seen it, so sorry for the multiple postings. Did you check out the customer care/feedback page. NOW, THAT IS TOO FUNNY!!!:D:D

Notice the Website GOlive date is 4/1. I found this on another hiking forum asking if it was real and had anyone else ordered from them. I knew no one from our intelligent site would ever get caught by this:rollseyes

It still just cracks me up,

In case you dont wanna go searching, here'st the highlights:

Greetings:
I was wondering if I could get an idea what kind of ingredients go into your gear. I cannot ingest gluten so I can't eat any form of wheat, oats, barley or rye. Corn and rice and their derivatives are OK.
If you have ingredients listings, that would be very helpful -- I would really like to try your products. Thanks,

Eastern Active Technologies and CafePress Release the InEdible TeeTM
05.29.03
You can't eat it, but you can stave off chronic trail nudity in Eastern Active Technologies' InEdible TeeTM (http://www.ediblegear.com/tees.html). Newly designed by Cafe Press and Eastern Active Technologies, the InEdible Tee's 100% Cotton Shell soaks up water like a sponge and stays wet for days.
But hey, that just means one less Nalgene® bottle in our book. Of course, it tastes like bleached cotton and chews about the same, so you'll still want to make sure you have a SnackPackTM (http://www.ediblegear.com/backpack.html) or SweetTarpTM (http://www.ediblegear.com/shelters.html) along for the hike (not to mention a pair of shorts). Order (http://www.ediblegear.com/tees.html) yours today

AlkyHaulTM: If you're looking for a nice dry chardonnay you're probably better off staying on your porch in Marin. But if you want to celebrate hammering up those last four miles of the Devil's Path without breaking a sweat, what better way to have it all than using our new hybrid drinkable stove fuel.

http://www.ediblegear.com/images/alkyHaul.gif AlkyHaul
Just tip a few ounces from your fuel bottle1 and toast the day's achievements while waiting for your meal to heat. But, be careful. It's 180 proof grain alcohol, distilled from organic corn. Burns clean and goes down dirty. Grin and bear it, and leave the wine to the cheese eating surrender monkeys.

Question: If I eat my pack, how do I get home? Answer: It's necessary to take care in ordering the consumption of your trail gear. Hikers normally consume the pack last (although they might save a trekking pole for the hike out).

Question: Aren't animals attracted to equipment made of out food? Answer: No. Animals aren't stupid. Animals don't consider Edible Gear food. You on the other hand, are clearly smart enough to understand that weight saving takes precedence over everything. As you're choking down your sleeping pad just think to yourself how easy it'll be to heft that pack tomorrow morning with two ounces less weight.

Our high end products are definitely not for everyone. Whiners need not apply.

Actually, I was thinking it looks like the kind of thing one (or more) of the long-term WB members would be responsible for. Kinda goes with the marinarathon, paper ultralight stove competition, etc.

I was thinking that. This has Just Jeff's humor all over it. Maybe Jack.

Anybody recognize the guy on the right in this photo (http://www.well.com/%7Emarvy/camping/trinityalps/Images/postcard.jpg)? He's the responsible party. Name is Chris C from NY

I don't know who the guy is, but I do know how to find out who is behind a web site.
