Just to let anyone who would like to know: there is active heavy logging on the Greenville end of the K.I. road at the beginning of the dirt road just past the airport. As far as I could tell at least 3 logging outfits at 3 different parts of the road are cutting with an excavator ditching. I was thru there on 7/26 while picking up a couple of hikers to bring out to Monson. Currently just cutting w/the actual hauling out of the logs soon to commence. This was during the week, weekends may not have activity but don't count on it. The feller/buncher equipment w/operater was IN the road with their boons across it and did not move nor will they, so be prepared, they have the right of way. I was able to drive under/around only because of 4WD. Other than that you'll wait.

Hey there Boarstone!
I thought of you a few days ago when I spotted a bucket hung a tree a few days ago! I pass through the Hedgehog gate a few times each season, thanks for the heads-up.
