Are there retail stores besides REI that sell Gookinade? I am thinking GNC or Walgreen's. Thought I would ask here before I started combing the stores.

No, not that I've found. I always had to order it from online. The Gook is good, not as sugary as Gatoraid. More potassium. If you find it at a "brick & mortar", let me know.

Try Tang. Do your own research, but Gook is not that good for you on a weight to carry vs. positive effect scale.

Agree about Gook. Gatoraid Endurance formula is closer to being worth it, IMHO. :)
