I'm trying different methods of packing my Vapor Trail. What is the purpose of the shockcord "web" inside the pack? Or, what are you using this shockcord for?

I was thinking that this shockcord would be much more useful on the outside of the pack to carry wet gear.

Thanks...

Good question. I have a circa 2003 Vapor Trail and it doesn't have the hydration pocket or the shock cord inside. But, in 2005 my wife bought a Vapor Trail and it had the pocket and bungee thingee. Since she didn't havd any intention of putting a water bladder down inside the pack I convinced her to let me remove the bungee cord. She's never missed it and I have found several other good uses for the shock cord.

I think it's intended to be cut out so you can feel like a really cool gram-counting ultralight type.
