Absolutely gorgeous views of the lake... great main site with nice small sites nearby. Sunsets and sunrises on the lake are totally awesome.

There is also a legendary outhouse there: "Fort Relief"

Location is just yards off the trail... 52 miles south of the Mt. K.

Hung in my hammock and just enjoyed the beauty and seclusion of it all. Fort Relief was a hoot! HH

The view would have been nice had it not been blocked by the cloud of mosquitos.

Ahhh yes - this was a great stop. 10 star privy. Good swimming and plenty of room.... wish I was there now.

Yes this a a great site. I am even making plans to kayak into it on Memorial day weekend. I may even try and hike the 100 mile wilderness again this fall. I loved that hike.

This was the best camp spot on the whole trail. I was told about it by a guy way back in Mass and I made a mental note to camp there. Best decision ever. Wonder camp.

Whenever I go through there my timing is off and ends up being too long or too short of a day to stop there. But I stare longingly as I hike by...
