I'm Appalachian stock. Always 20 pounds over. :D
I'd be happy w/20, but I know I'll probably lose that much the first 2 weeks, so we'll see.

I hit the trail this year at 235, 25 pounds under my all time high. By the time I hit Harper's Ferry, I was down to 200. Keep in mind that I drank more than my fair share( probably more than double) of beer during the hike so I was getting a pretty good amount of calories on average. Funny thing is, I've coninued to lose weight since coming back to Colorado without even trying(hey, I ain't gonna argue!).
A friend of mine that hiked SOBO in `03, actually put on weight on purpose before NOBOing in `05. he's about my size.
