This is the source I have used for the little bottles of pure Iodine crystals. The bottle you recieve should last almost a lifetime. I keep a bottle in each vehicle and in my pack though I am currently using Aqua-Mira.
Mala is correct in that subspecies of humans use Iodine crystals in the illicit manufacture of methamphetamine, so if you keep the crystals with you it might be a good idea to keep a pair of hiking boots there to just in case an inquisitive policeman doubts your story!
