Stumbled across this on the net and was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of or used the tarp or any other products from this company. By reading it is obvious they are not a fan of silnylon.

Never heard of them before, but thirteen ounces for an 8 X 10 tarp is not too bad. Thanks for posting, some interesting information........

I have not gotten one of their tarps or any of their products, but thanks for that link. The grills on that site are exatly what I was looking for to use up in the Slickrock creek area. I need to order one.

A easy to understand article about silicone elastomer is here at this link:

Silnylon as you know is very thin, and slippery when material such as the nylon has the coating of silicone-elastomer on it it is not slippery and feels sort of rubbery, or at least thicker than silnylon...depending on how they made it or how much was used to coat the fabric with.

Sooooo... silicone elastomer is used to make breast implants... shouldn't this be used for dome tents?
