hey all. I just purchased a z-lite sleeping pad. it seems as though it is pretty darn light and I had heard it mentioned several times in the forums, so i figured it would be okay. I know it will do okay for me in FL. But how about on the AT, how do these hold up? If i hit the AT this year it will be towards the end of march. Will i need an insulated pad, if i already have a 20degree down bag? Also are they fairly durable, I've read about people taking them on thru's, but it practically feels like its made out of an egg carton. Also what is the difference between the z-lite and z-rest? I'm also worrying about keeping it dry since its on the outside of my bag. And I carry an aether 70, is it better i go with a raincover made by osprey, or some people just go with compactor bags. Thanks a lot!
