This seems to do wonders to getting bacteria out of the inside of a bag. What I did was turn it inside out and place it in the car where the most sun is. I think it simulates the inside of a dryer on low heat and the UV rays of the sun will kill the bacteria.

The UV will also kill the nylon. I wouldn't leave it in for an extended period of time.

No....it's absorbed by glass.

No....it's absorbed by glass.

But depending on the glass, some wavelengths (UVA or UVB, don't remember which?) can filter through.

Instead of in your car put it in your trunk. I had my bag in my trunk for an entire summer of traveling and it was fine. It kept it's loft full and free of funk.

UVA and UVB can penetrate glass. Otherwise you simply wouldn't need "sunglasses" as regular glasses would prdevail for all but the glare.

BTW, High constant heat might also kill your loft.

On a hot day, I think about 90F, your car can get to nearly 200F. Read about a woman who waits for that temperature, then "bakes" cookies in her car:sun . I don't know how that compares to a clothes dryer.

It wasnt near that hot. It probaly got to 70F so it probaly never got above 125F. It seemed to work because now it doesnt smell.
