would a gg vt have enough room for : hh ulb,ray way quilt,KAQ underquilt, and food for no longer than 3 days.If this is not a good pack or somthing
would the golite speed be a good choice?

The Vapor Trail is my favorite pack. I've sold off most of my other packs after using this one.

I don't use quilts, so I'm not sure how much room they take in a pack. I recently did the Foothills Trail, I carried 15 pounds of gear, 3.5 days of food, 2 liters of water and some gear for my two dogs and I still had room left in my pack.

The VT should be more than adequate for the load you describe. Just keep your total pack weight under 25 pounds and you should be fine.

I have an early model of the VT - '04 maybe - doesn't really matter because it's same volume as current models, I think. Use it exclusively now. Have used it for winter camping, a trip w/ lows in low teens. In the pack I carried:

hhulb, homemade quilt, silk liner, down pull-over, relatively large clothing bag (silk long-johns, poly long-johns, extra sox, boxers, balaclava, fleece gloves, ltwt fleece top, & goretex jacket), 3 days food, kitchen kit (brasslite stove, lexan cup & bowl, .9L titanium pot), extra 5x8 sil tarp, TR chair kit, paperback book.

attached / in the pockets on the outside:

2L platy in hydration sleeve, target CCF pad & TR guidelite in straps on front of pack, in pockets on sides: ditty bags w/ kitchen stuff, first aid kit, 50 ft cord & stakes, pack cover, stove fuel, 1L flask of scotch, soda bottle, & 2 stogies.

have also used it for a trip w/ lows below 0 where, instead of HH, carried a BD betamid, w/ ground cloth - & 0deg bag instead of smaller quilt.

The pack was defnitely stuffed, but was adequate for both trips.
