Hey all. I was wondering if some of you could name off the trail towns in NJ. Reason im asking is because I have an uncle who i realize lives in Chester, NJ which my dad told me is real close to high point. And i remeber high point being mentioned. It just might come in handy having family close so that I could regroup for a day or two and see some FAM, and also im just curious because thats a beautiful area. Thanks

Closest Jersey Trail Town near High Point is probably Vernon, which is very hiker friendly. Plenty of places to eat, good supermarket, great church hostel.
The Trail also comes close to Branchville and Glenwood NJ, and Unionvile NY, which is right on the state line.
Chester is probably about 45 min. to 1 hr. from High Point.
Another town along the AT is Culvers Gap. You actually cross over Rte. 206 which also runs thru Chester.
