Your Estimate of Pack Weights Shown in Hiker Pics

With all the discussions relating to small pack weights I would like to get some best guesses from experienced hikers as to what it appears to you is the "average" pack weight you see other thru hikers wearing in the various pics that are posted as well as have seen others wearing. They for the most part seem rather large by the low pack weight discussions.

I haven't thru'd yet, but of the handful I've seen on the trail, the average tends to be several pounds higher than what we discuss here on WB. Still under 40 lbs, but many over 30 lbs. I'd guess that average of people who talk about these things on WB is 20-25 lbs.

But that's a guess - I could be completely off.
