I am looking at a hike which would place us at Upper Goose Pond Cabin on friday night 10/13. Does anyone know if the cabin will be open (the website says it is open on weekends through mid-October)?
The cabin is scheduled to be open that weekend. Most weekend caretakers are there Friday evening.
According to the work schedule that Cosmo sent me, Goose Pond Cabin closing is October 22.
I absolutely LOVE that place! A little too close to the road, and there's motorboat traffic on the lake, but the ambiance can't be beat.
