Hey anyone who cares. I completed my Thru-hike on 10/5 (after 199 days on the trail) and have been SLOWLY making my way back down the East cost. Just wanted to add a post in case people want to contact me. Congrats to everyone who was on the Trail this year! I already miss it....

Hey KM, KLUDOS (new word--coined by SLY) !!!! Anyone who has "been there, done that," knows what an accomplishment it is. You will always miss it, unless you are back out there.

Rest up, keep in touch with people you met and decide which Trail to do next (maybe the AT again!)

Congratulations on completing your hike. I hope to hear some insights about both the high and low points of your venture--when you've got some time for that reflection, of course.

Congratulations! I think we crossed paths in Vermont. It seems like a long time ago now... If you miss it, you could join the few, the proud, the SOBOs. ;-) Most of us are still out here, enjoying the onset of cold weather.

Wow! Thank you all so much for all of the congrats (and Kludos) notes:) Since I took my time on the trail, I figured I'd take my time getting home... 22 days from the summit of Katahdin to Philly. Actually, I even managed to make it 40 miles up the long trail before getting soaked, frozen, & lonely so I called it quits on that I continued touring around New England.

I'm STILL reflecting on what exactly I've done and trying to figure out where I'm headed... it's hard to go from an environment of simplicity (do I hike/not hike, sleep/not sleep, eat/not eat... ok, scratch that last one:p) back into society, which requires many more decisions to be made... I've got a bunch of ideas of what to do now but, I've got lots of visiting to do first... it's been a long time away from home...

For those of you considering the trail DO IT! It has been the most amazing experience I've ever had. For those of you I met, you contributed to said amazing experience.... thank you so much and keep in touch! OK, now it's time to EAT!!!!! (at least SOME things are still the same)

Yeah, it got kind of ugly out there:) I still got SOME time to reflect on things but, it would have been nice to make it a LITTLE farther... oh well, just leaves me another option for the next time I'm looking for a hike!

For those who asked earlier and I forgot to answer, Low Gear finished in late Sept. and Hollywood summited with me on 10/5. Pics are at www.weeksjr.com I'm currently sorting through them and will be adding more this week...

Excellent attitude Kid's Meal! Hope you get the chance to try the Long Trail again. It was wonderful, challenging and quite refreshing after the hustle and bustle of the AT. Good luck on all your future hikes!

Congrats on your finish man. I remember your bear photo's from the Shanandoahs (sp?) and I hope I don't come that close (to a bear) when I get there. Maybe I'll see you at "Trail Days" or something.
