My wife and I just spent the week hiking all of the PA section South of Boiling Springs and stayed at Pheasant Field B&B in the Cumberland Valley. Our Inn Keepers, Chuck and Dee, were gracious enough to help us spot our car and shuttle us to our starting point daily. If it works out, we will go back and do the same thing to the north next fall. October is a perfect time to hike PA. Also if you are thru hiking this section this B & B is located only 1/2 mile from the trail 5 miles north of Boiling Springs. Exit the trail at Ridge north of Rt 641, turn west on Ridge and left at Hickorytown and the B & B is on the right. heres a map:http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/vbg/showimage.php?i=13332&c=540

Tell me, were there many places to eat near by that are nice and within walking distance. My wife and I decided that we are going to do the Comberland Valley (sections 10 & 11) by just staying in a B&B.

The plan was to do section 10 stay in a B&B in Boiling Springs and then do section 11 the next day. I saw the place you were talking about but wasn't sure if there were any places close by to dine. Not looking for fancy just a decent place to take the little lady.

Otherwise I'll stick to the B&B in Boiling Springs.

Thanks

This is in the countryside out of town...if you have a car you have all kinds of options with in a few miles, otherwise Boiling springs would be better if your walking in and out.
