I wish it was DURING Trail Days. We'd be there for sure.

Yes. More Rucks spread throught the year up and down the trail. Do away with Trail Days.

I don't dislike Trail Daze, but have to admit the highlight for me the last few years has been the 30+ miles or so hike to get there.

C'mon, you guys should have been hangin around dryland... bluegrass jammin till 5 am! Freinds and families and all that good stuff. It's all about attitude! I guess I missed all the holy traildays of ancient times but the last 3 have been some of the geatest times of my life. I'm pro-ruck, though, can't wait to see y'all! Bring yer banjos (or whatever)!

ALDHA Gatherings and Rucks grow to be bigger and better each year. Not so with Trail Days. It just grows and has become very commercial. Not much substance to it. Just a big party is all it is. My opinion. I'm looking forward to leaving town this year during Trail Days. Gonna go hike.

If anyone wishes to miss Trail Days and backpack into the ShenRUCK, I have added northbound and southbound hikes...

Pittsburgh,

Have you confirmed that Loft Mt. CG will be open in mid-May 2007? This year, due to $$$ cutbacks, Loft Mt. and Mathews Arm CGs opened later than usual, and almost all Loft Mt. Interpretive Programs including the Visitor Center were not staffed.

As I indicated privately, call me on my toll-free # AFTER the election and pick my brain. I'm sure I can help you in some way with what you want to do in SNP.

Best wishes,

Skyline

And what's wrong with that? 'Specially if all your friends are there, and you have an oppurtunity to make new ones! You got a thing against water-gun fights or something? Mabye you ought to wash that grey right outta your beard and stop sounding like such a wet blanket!

From all your posts on magic and Trail Days etc., it seems that's all you care about is partying. Do you like hiking?

Somewhat. But I like hikers, so I'm forced to do it.

But you could stop any time you wanted to. Right?
