We will be somewhere between Duncannon and Delaware Water gap at that time so I'm guessing about 500 miles:cool:

i'm from the south can we have the minute equivlence?

lol, just had to ask that, when i moved up to jersey for a summer internship a couple of summers ago, i had to get used to getting directions in miles, i confused people when i asked for the minutes instead of miles, so weird!

They do that here in Denver too. As a southern raised boy, this made me feel at home.
It'll take me about 780 minutes to get to TD.

You're not going to Trail Days next year? :( I plan on hiking in but, if I find myself out West maybe I won't be either! :)

Seriously, with who? I was saving that until fall but spring may be the better time. I already have Brett's CD map set/guidebook.

When I went to that website that you posted here.......I knew this was my next venture. I am also assuming water sources would be more available in the spring.
I love the outwest.

As long as we don't talk about MS, trail magic, finding/losing men/women, or hammocks, it'll be OK.

Keep me posted about your plans.

What, we can't talk about MS enjoying some trail magic while he pink-blazes from his hammock? Then what is there to talk about?

KIDDING!

If I go to Trail Days, I would be traveling several hundred miles (a couple thousand?), but with a stop or two in DC, then north/central Virginia on the way, so from there just a couple hundred miles. All depends.

Speaking of pink blazing and hammocks, Neo would probably drive up to Mass. and bring you down to Trail Days. ;)

If I am not close to TD while thruhiking, I will not back-track or jump ahead just to go. that should have been an option in the poll.

Na, just hitch hike there and hitch hike back to where you got off.

Hopefully i will be able to leave in time to go look for hikers in need of a hitch to trail days on that friday. any advice on a good spot in nc to look for needy hikers then.

I suggest going to T Days 08 after your thru-hike.

Coming from Winston-Salem/I-77? Where the trail cosses I-80 at the Groseclose/Atkins exit.
