I'm taking applications for those willing to help chase Lobster down the trail with a pot of boiling water and a ziplock of drawn butter... that should help keep his speed up.
No, I think you need to see a support group for issues.

No need for a pot. Dig a hole and build a fire in it. Fill with a layer of wet leaves and put in the lobster. Cover with another layer of wet leaves and then some dirt. When done, leave it there to rot. LNT!
Let's see how fast we can get you off whiteblaze. Now that's a worthwhile record. :D

Lobster has crabs. He itches with one claw and posts with the other.
That would be awesome if you set the new speed record. Here's what you do: Let all the NOBO's start and then you start after them. Then you can fly by each and everyone of them. Then you can have an accurate count of how many blue-blazed, yellow blazed, "quit", how many hostels they stayed at, what the new trends are, and how many are hiking at 20+ mile days, and how many are real hikers. Then you could report back here and give us your data. Then maybe you'd stop posting the same stupid questions over and over here and wasting bandwith.
Not sure anyone would be interested in the results other than yourself. Atleast we'd have you off the net for 45 days. Interested?
He will not get through Vermont if somone doesn't make a meal of him before then. I'm kind of surprised he's been around as long as he has. Most lobsters don't live that long.;)

You didn't say how much of a head start he should give them though. However, all in all I thought this was a pretty well thought out plan. :D

So clue us in.... why his need to keep posting "stir the pot" threads? If I thought a poster was really interested in a controversial subject, I'd have no issue with a genuine exploration of the topic. But to post from an attitude of instigation leaves a lot to be desired.

Because poor lobster can't stop breaking his arms and typing fingers patting himself on the back because he thruhiked. For some strange reason the trail effects some people like that. I think it's a strange purist virus that turns you into a troll.
