Looking for a good dehydrator cook book. I have read several personal recipes on this site but would like to have a good resource/book to refer back to for new recipes. Any ideas?

Sarbar's book and website (http://www.freezerbagcooking.com/) on freezer bag cooking is excellent.

Get the thousand watt dehydrator. You will not regret it..

I borrowed the High Trail Cookery by Linda Fredrick Yaffe published by Independant Publisher Group. It was a great book. I dehydrated several things from that book for my hike. I also bought a book from the Tin Man but it is at home and I don't remember the name. The above book is on the list that ALHikerGal posted the link to. I tried to find it on Amazon and couldn't. but then I am not the best with internet searches.

Thanks for the quick responses. Too late for me to buy the 1000 Watt dehydrator I already purchased the Nesco FD-75 700 Watt model. ALHikerGal thanks for the link I am definitely going to purchase a couple of those books. I am a Noles fan also so I know I can trust your advice!..lol

The Nesco dryer I have is a solid product. I wouldn't sweat it.

Before you buy from Amazon or BAM or such, check ebay. I just did a quick search for "well fed backpacker" and came up with about 10 copies of it! (watch, there are 2 editions...)

I am sure you could probably find most of the books there.

Hey G8tr,
I forgot I was supposed to mail you my dehydrator books when I got back from our Foothills trip. PM me your address and I'll ship 'em out this week.
