Hi All

Thinking about the best way to replicate some of the recipes I like that require 2 pot cooking without the weight of 2 pots.

Here's what I was thinking

I often like to make my own red and white sauces, curries etc for pasta and rice. I would like to be able to bring the water for pasta/rice to a boil and then transfer the water and pasta to a food grade mylar ziplock which will be placed inside a pot cozy for insulation. I will then leave that mixture to cook while I use my pot to make the sauce.

Does this sound workable? Anyone else out there with ideas?

Thanks
Sue

Rock has a project on his site where he made a small bowel with pot cozy. I am thinking about using a peanut butter jar in a similar way. I am not a fan of the freezer bag cooking thing. A hard container will stand up a lot easier, you can also start hiking with a hot beverage if you want, but then again it weighs more.

Both ideas are inspired and I want to thank you both for sharing them.
