Hi all...

I just posted my CDT pics if anyone cares to take a
look-see.

Go to the PHOTOS section.

Will add my photos to the journal at some point.

Now, I have to write my *MANY* thankyou notes.

Enjoy!

Dammit, Mags. This is going to cost me at least an evening or two. These pix are just too beautiful. I'm insanely jealous of your hiking experience. How'd that tarp-poncho work out? More comments in a few days... after I've had a chance to look at them all.

Thanks for the kind words!

Terrapin: I loved the poncho-tarp as a shelter. Light (13 oz), easy to setup, roomier than expected.

As rain gear? Nope. Still can't get over ponchos for rain gear. I switched back to my GoLite Wisp and Montbell UL Raindpants for a 5oz penalty. It billowed too much and snagged on my hiking poles.

Sly: I am using Gallery2. It is the newest version of the software Ryan has ran for years on backcountry.net Meshes into Joomla (my website management software) quite well!

The CDT photos were a sight to behold. One could almost imagine oneself standing in some of them, in a high alpine valley, at the base of a huge crest and searching way off in the distance for the faint, spotty remnants of the trail or rock cairn as a guide and wondering exactly where it was and where I'd go next. I even recognized some of the scenes and it brought back wonderful memories. Thanks for the trip.
