I HAVE BEEN EMAILING GOOGLE FOR A WHILE NOW TO DO SUCH A THING, AND NOT TO SAY I AM THE REASON BUT I HOPE I WAS HELPING!If you turn on the national parks toggle, it will show you the hostels, shelters, and other hiking assocciated things with PICTURES! how cool!

Looks like it only does the AT when it's in a national park?

You can put the shelters on google earth yourself. Just DL the waypoints and load em up. To find the waypoints just google "AT waypoints" and you should find the files. I've done it and it's pretty sweet to see them all.

Found one for the PCT as well, but I think it's the actual trail path itself. It's in one of the replys to my previous link.
