Lonesome Lake has recieved a face-lift. The bark brown siding is gone, replaced with a lighter, wood shake siding. The roofing is also new. Here is a picture from July 2003.

I stayed in this hut in September and was treated to a great stay. The folks there were just super. Stinger and I did the work for stay thing and were treated just as if we were paying guest. The hut is well maintained and the views at the lake are terrific. If you are thru hiking this hut is a good first stop but try to land here during the week days because the weekend are full so space is tight. Swamp Dawg
