Any '03 AT thru-hikers on here who aren't on Karma's email list (and want to stay in touch?)

It's the most comprehensive list of thrus I've seen. A real labor of love and kinship on Karma's part

A-Train, you're not on the list!
:)
Send me an email, anyone, if you want the contact info. There's a get-together in February in SW VA.

Am I on the list??

'03 was an easy year for a walk....never a problem finding water to drink because there was plenty of springs running. :)

The class of '97 had a get together at Bear's Den Hostel for several years after. Good times!

Where's the WetOnes' reunion? :p

He has had problems at home. He's still living in Pottstown but he only got out for day hikes here and there. He is a good friend of mines father. He's now living with my friend. A plethora of great information for a planning thru like myself. I will have to ask him if he's planning on hitting the trail next year. I think he's planning a SOBO in '08 from what he has been saying.

I emailed Karma and sent you the newsletter as an attachment. Also, Chief, Notes and Itchyfoot.

Yes, you could say the springs were running!

The springs, the trees, the trail itself, my boots, all flowing well...

If anyone wants to be on that '03 list or wants Karma's email newsletter from "the family", shoot him an email at Karma <[email protected]>.

He especially wants to get some of those knuckle-headed SOBOs on the list. For variety, I'd guess.

Yeah, the list needs variety. There were some fantastic sobo's in '03. :)

We had to listen to all the whiny nobo's and we still had a great year. ;)

This could turn out to be a pretty firey and interesting thread.

I'm just glad to have been there and fortunate to have survived (literally) to talk about it !!

No kidding....we were gonna have shirts made saying "The Appalachian Trail: A Footbath in the Wilderness."

Slogger.....remember the night in Shenandoah Park where Mountain Dew insisted on going past a perfectly good campsite because he wanted to get an ice cream before the store closed......and in leaving his camp unprotected, he got COMPLETELY pillaged by bears. I think after re-placing his food, food-bag, stove, and all sorts of other destroyed or vanished stuff, that ice-cream sandwhich ended up costing him around a hundred and thirty bucks.

Geez, that was funny.

Thems were the days.

An '03 hiker recently told me that they get "moist" when they think about the trail. Name withheld to protect the innocent.
