Hi everone has any worn the Gossamer jacket on a Thur-Hike. It is primaloft fill it weight 16oz. and pack really small. I was also looking at the same verson in a vest it only weight 10oz let me know what you think

I used to sell the vest at REI and it's agood piece. I'd use the jacket if your starting early and the vest for the majority of the hike, then back to the jacket at the end - if budget allows.

It's a nice piece, in line with some similar products (Patagonia micropuff etc) I'd rock it. The jacket/vest/jacket idea is great if you can swing it.

I used the jacket this past year on my thruhike. It's a little bulky and a little heavy but very nice and toasty. I would have to say its a good piece and I was happy with it.

Great gear! The only issue I have is the vest pockets being unlined. Petty, but I don't know how many times I push my hands in them instinctively to warm them up. But it's justa piece of nylon. I would take the vest along and layer it over, rather than the jacket.
